Since January 2008, a team of experts has been evaluating possible routes for extending the Metro Gold Line light-rail system from its currently planned terminus in Montclair, to LA/Ontario International Airport. This 10-month study is nearing its conclusion, and a final report has been developed that overviews the process and recommended routes.

Under current requirements set forth by the Federal Transit Administration, it can take up to 25 years for a transit project like this to go from inception to completion. This initial study is the first step in this lengthy process.
